AND THEY'RE OFF.... The GBMSL
2013 season begins Monday May 20th with the Tykes & Bantams with all other
divisions following throughout the week! Mite & Midget on Tuesday, Squirt on
Wednesday & Peewee on Thursday.
We wish everyone a great
season and look forward to another awesome year of Fastball.
Some rep/select teams have
started to practice and determine teams, keep posted to the Rattler
Select/Rep section for updates on that part of our program
Tournaments start on the
weekend of June 7,8 and carry on until the end of July, make sure you know
when your division tournaments are. All teams are entered into the
tournaments so you should expect to be there to support your team!
Playoff formats are on the
schedules this year, take a look at the portion of your schedule and make
sure you're available. The Midget Playoff format has changed with 2 games a
week once playoffs start!
The All star games are June
14th (Bantam & Midget) & June 15th (Tyke, Mite, Squirt & Peewee) with Sunday
being the rain date. The games are in Elmvale this year.

Peewee Select-
1st Tryout for 2013 Select team- Tuesday May 21st @ 6:30 p.m. at Waubaushene

Bantam Select- Ken Wallace is recruiting GBMSL players who
are interested in trying out & playing this year! Please drop Ken a line if
interested at
walygolf123@hotmail.com GBMSL is also hosting the Bantam Provincials
this year on August 17th in Victoria Harbour/Port McNicoll
Bantam OASA Rep team- Tryouts will be starting in few
weeks. If you are born in 1997 or 1998 and play in the GBMSL, and are
interested in coming out for tryouts please contact Nicole Robiatille
at
nicole72@bell.blackberry.net Tryout dates, times and locations will be
posted here once they are published
Mite Select- The Mite provincials have been moved to Aug
17th this year allowing us to put together a team to attend (this is the
week following the GBMSL Mite Championships). This is for players turning 9
or 10 this year. Keith will be holding tryouts and arranging a team to
represent the GBMSL. If interested stay tuned to this location for tryout
dates and send him an email @
rattlers@gbmsl.com with your information.
Toanche Peewee OASA Team- Please contact Christine Patenaude at

705-549-2485 if interested in this team!
Elmvale Peewee OASA Rep Team- We will be holding tryouts for
players born in the year 2000. Any player interested in competing at the
OASA level this year are asked to contact Doug or Nancy Sweeney at
dougsweeney@rogers.com
Midget Select- Barb Maw & Keith Chapman will be coaching
the Midget Selects this year. If you are interested in trying out for the
team please email Barb @
barbmaw@hotmail.com so that she can start compiling a list! Tryouts will
be held as the season gets closer and will be posted here!

Tournament Details, Umpire Assignments will be updated as the tournaments
approach, generally at least one week in advance. Results will follow tournament
based on information conveyed to the league through coaches & photos taken-
Please send us your photos (640X480 res.) and we'll try and add them to the
site. We especially are looking for photos of teams from each community. Email
them to webmaster@gbmsl.com
NOTE: IMPORTANT- In the past we have had several rain games in all divisions
played on the Sunday- not being able to field a team because parents didn't plan
on being available for the Sunday will not be considered a valid argument and
it will result in a team forfeit from the tournament. Please make sure that you
don't ignore the Sunday date as if cancellations due to weather occur then games
will be played on the Sunday if necessary!
